Prometheus (2012)

This film saw the director revisit what many regard as his finest moment – Alien. However Scott was clear to point out that this was not to be a mere prequel although it shared 'strands of Alien's DNA, so to speak' and takes place in the same universe. Set in the 21st century, a team of explorers aboard the spaceship Prometheus discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
