In a tribute to Johnny Cash, The Band Perry and Dierks Bentley performed the first song of the night, 'Jackson.' Kimberly Perry, dressed in an elegant velvet a-line, strummed her guitar to within an inch of her life and let loose on the lyrics. The very country opening set the tone of the night as we segued over to Hunter Hayes sand his guitar to announce the nominees for Best Pop Vocal Album. They are:
