1. 'Kahaani'

'Kahaani' is a taut thriller, which forces the viewer to stay glued to the screen while the protagonist, supposedly, searches for her missing husband. While the film introduced Nawazuddin Siddiqui (He played the tough-as-nails IB officer Khan) to the mainstream audience, it was Vidya Balan who stood tall and once again earned the respect of the hero-worshiping audience, with a power-packed performance. Also, set in Kolkata, the milieu, notably, was a character in itself.
