A lawsuit between a man claiming to be Britney Spears’ manager during her notorious public meltdown period in 2007 ended in November with a judge throwing out the entire case due to lack of evidence. Sam Lufti had accused the Spears and her parents of breach of contract, libel and defamation over mom Lynne Spears’ 2008 memoir. During the 19-trial, the jury heard a litany of sordid allegations involving crystal meth and amphetamines use, mental breakdowns and forced psychiatric hospitalizations. In the end, the judge ruled Lufti failed to prove he had a binding management agreement that entitled him to a 15% cut of profits from her 2007 album Blackout.
