A dazzling Daniel Day-Lewis is Honest Abe, in Spielberg’s epic monument to the sixteenth president of the United States. It may be two-and-a-half hours, and feature long, stagey scenes of Mumford and Sons lookalikes talking politics, but this brilliant biopic fair zips along – gripping and sentimental in all the right places.
