Spring Breakers

Writer-director Harmony Korine (Gummo, Julien Donkey-Boy) has not exactly dropped his confrontational style of filmmaking with Spring Breakers. Instead the cinematic bad boy has adapted his unique sensibilities to a commercial project starring a talented and open-minded actor (James Franco) and some very beautiful actresses (including Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens). The film follows a quartet a beautiful young women who finance their Florida spring break with a robbery and proceed to get deeper into their dangerous lifestyle via Alien (Franco), a rapping drug dealer. Skrillex provides much of the soundtrack, and the sexy performances of its female leads should garner Spring Breakers much attention.
