6. One for the Money

Making a romantic comedy isn’t that difficult, after all it’s basically paint-by-numbers filmmaking in which you hire a generic female actress put her in the middle of a barely plausible plot and then make her fall in love with an inherently unlikeable but impossibly attractive male co-star. So it’s hard to see how a film starring Kathreine Heigl as an amateur bounty hunter tracking her one-time beau Jason O’Mara could have got it so wrong. But it did. Full of stereotypical gags and performances so wooden that they’d make good kindling; it’s 91 minutes of our lives that we’re simply never going to get back.
