James Cagney stars as deranged gang leader Cody Jarrett in this 1949 film directed by Raoul Walsh. After confessing to a shooting and being sent to jail, Pardo, an undercover agent is planted in Jarrett's cell. When Jarrett has served his time, he is released and immediately plans a heist on a chemical plant which Pardo tries to foil.
