'Kadal' will be released on February 1

'Kadal', which has music by A R Rahman, is centred around the lives of Christian fishermen.

"The background is a fishing village but the story is universal; it’s about good versus evil and narrates the story of an individual caught between sin and redemption," said director Mani Ratnam in an interview with The Hindu.

The movie stars Gautham Karthik, Thulasi Nair, Arvind Swamy, Arjun, Lakshmi Manchu and Thambi Ramaiah.
