For decades we’ve been accustomed to seeing Bruce Willis kicking ass and taking names in action hero roles. He's the go-to guy for waking up drunk, finding himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, coming up with hilarious smartassery and saving the world from impending doom. It's a reliable recipe that's supplied him with a solid career as Die Hard's semi-alcoholic, chain-smoking police officer John McClane - a character he will again revisit in the fifth franchise installment, A Good Day to Die Hard, out this February 22nd.

But notwithstanding his penchant for gun-violence and icicles in eye sockets, it would appear that, in choosing his movie roles, Bruce Willis is more of a numbers man than an action man.
