The number eight is considered lucky in Chinese culture, but clearly Bruce Willis snarls in the face of auspicious beliefs and skips straight to nine. Back in the late '90s, when Matthew Perry was a bankable actor, Bruce Willis so badly wanted him to co-star in The Whole Nine Yards that he left a message on his answering machine threatening to "chop your legs off, set fire to your house, and watch as you drag your bloody stumps out the door" if he didn't do the film. The hilariously famous, if not slightly menacing line was eventually included in the film, as was Matthew Perry, who later exacted payback by wrangling Bruce into a free run of guest spots on Friends.
