An indie suspense-thriller starring an above-average cast of Willis, Forest Whitaker and Malin Akerman as a strip club waitress, Catch .44 billed itself as a film done in "the tradition of The Usual Suspects and Pulp Fiction." It wasn't quite able to elevate itself to that kind of stature as any minor resemblance ended after the opening mission in the poor man's Pulp Fiction diner. Cue gunshots, bullets, blamows and kapows, you don't care who lives or dies, you're just wondering if Willis has Die Hardly Trying Anymore in the script pipeline.
