Oscars 2013: What we want to see - Michael Haneke actually showing up

His depressive drama Amour is nominated in five categories including Best Film and Best Director – quite a feat for a foreign language film. Despite multiple wins, the German-Austrian director failed to show up for the BAFTAs and the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards to name but a few. Will the Academy tempt him Stateside to collect the Best Foreign Language film, at the very least? Time will tell.
