Bollywood attends Pran's 'chautha'
Bollywood biggies including thespian Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan attended the prayer meet held in the memory of veteran actor Pran who passed away on Friday.
Pran, loved and feared in equal measure by movie-goers for his roles in Bollywood hits like 'Milan', 'Madhumati' and 'Zanjeer', passed away at the age of 93 due to prolonged illness.
Among those attended the 'Chautha', held between 5 to 6 PM at a Gurudwara in suburban Santacruz, were actors Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, Karan Johar's mother Hiroo, Prem Chopra, Shabana Azmi and Gulshan Grover.
Also spotted were Sanjay Khan, Subhash Ghai, Ramesh Taurani, Suresh Oberoi, Farooq Shaikh, Mukesh Rishi, Raza Murad and others.
The star appeared in more than 350 Hindi movies in a prolific career spanning six decades.
Pran is survived by wife Shukla Sikand, two sons and a daughter.
