Ace filmmaker K Balachander's hit 1979 Tamil film ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’, which was the last film featuring Tamil superstars Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan, will be re-released on October 4.
The trailer of the digitally restored version of 'Ninaithale Inikkum' was released on September 13.
"The film has been digitally restored and is getting ready for release soon," said a statement.
Kamal, who co-starred in the film with superstar Rajnikanth and Jayaprada, released the trailer in the presence of the film's director K Balachander.
"I miss Rajni in this moment. I don't know if Kamal grew because of me or if I grew because of him. But at the end of the day, I'm the winner because it's my film that's re-released after so many years," said Balachander at the trailer launch.
The original film was simultaneously shot in Telugu as 'Andamaina Anubhavam'. A majority of the film was shot in Singapore.
In the recent past, Tamil classics such as 'Karnan' and 'Paasamalar' were digitally restored.
