Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
More than 25 years after donning Indiana Jones' fedora, Harrison Ford revisited the character in a new adventure directed by Steven Spielberg. This one is set in the 1950s with Nazi villains replaced by Cold War-era Soviet agents trying to get their hands on an alien crystal skull that provides its owners with psychic powers. Karen Allen returns as Indy's former love interest and Shia LaBeouf appears as the adventurous son Jones didn't know he had.
Why 3D? So much of the action in this film would benefit from 3D, from the rollicking chase scenes involving Indiana on a rocket sled and his son's Harley-Davidson to his rescue of former girlfriend Marion in Peru and their escape into the Amazon. We'd also like to see 3D versions of the crystal skeletons that come to life at the end of the film. Hurry, Steven, no time to waste before the purported fifth film in the series is released!
