The couple made it to the front page when, while walking for designer Tarun Tahiliani at Lakme Fashion Week, to promote Levi's Jeans, Akshay reached out into the audience and asked Twinkle to unzip his pants. Social activist, Anil Nair, registered a police complaint against the couple, who later publically apologised for the act. It is said that Akshay was paid Rs. 1.2 Crore for the show.
