Screen icon honoured by American Film Institute
During nearly 60 years in showbiz, Shirley MacLaine has put in some unforgettable performances on the big screen. Since her film debut in Alfred Hitchcock's 1955 film The Trouble With Harry, she has mustered five Academy Award nominations and one Best Actress win for her role in 1983's Terms of Endearment.
