As played by John Callen and Peter Hambleton.

What with the hereditary ginger tinge, it doesn't take a book of appendices to figure out that Gloin is the father of Gimli, the haughty dwarf played by John Rhys-Davies in LOTR. Oin is the elder brother of Gloin (making him Gimli's uncle) and has a substantial sum of money invested in the unexpected journey. Kind of like MGM. Oin is also the healer among the Company and herbal salves have since come to be known as "ointment" after him.
