Bringing together the brightest young folk and alt-rock singer-songwriters of the modern era, Monsters of Folk quietly formed in 2004. Consisting of Jim James (My Morning Jacket), Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes), Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes) and M. Ward from She and Him, the group took nearly five years to get their debut self-titled album out. They toured last year before returning to their respective projects, though all have agreed that a second album will be coming in the near future.
