Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot lands in multiplexes this week. Whilst much has been written about newcomer Henry Cavill taking on the mantle of the titular Man of Steel, there has been altogether less attention paid to Amy Adams’ turn as Lois Lane; a character who’s as much a part of the comic mythology as her Kryptonian counterpart. Smart, sassy and seemingly fearless in pursuit of a story; Lane is every inch an intrepid reporter - even though she continuously fails to notice the remarkable similarity between Supes and her clumsy colleague Clark Kent.

Of course Lane’s not the first character to score a scoop on the silver screen however. After all Hollywood history is littered with hacks who’ve filled the fictional newsstands with headlines down the years. But who did it best? Join us as we scour the newsroom for cinema’s 10 top movie reporters.
