We’re all packed and ready to return to Asgard in this month’s Thor: The Dark World, the latest Marvel movie that will see Tom Hiddleston return as Loki, Anthony Hopkins rule as King Odin, and Kat Dennings cracking wise as a bad scientist.

And not forgetting Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, the mighty avenger and titular star of the movie, at least when his co-stars aren’t stealing his thunder.

But all too often that seems to be the case when talented actors take on lesser characters, doesn’t it? They can upstage the lead or even steal the movie entirely, as these supporting players prove that “there are no small parts, only small actors…”
