Anurag Kashyap shoots BOMBAY TALKIES inside Big B's house

Never before has Amitabh Bachchan allowed anyone to shoot or see inside his first home in Mumbai, Pratiksha.

Pratiksha is special in more than one ways as it is the place where Amitabh Bachchan's parents spent all their lives, when in Mumbai.

When Anurag Kashyap approached Amitabh Bachchan to be able to shoot in his house premises for his upcoming film BOMBAY TALKIES, The Sr Bachchan graciously agreed.

The story is about a diehard fan who travels all the way from Allahabad to fulfill his mom's last wish of feeding Amitabh Bachchan, her handmade Murabha.

He was very keen to capture the historic bungalow where umpteenth fans have waited for hours and day to get a glimpse of him.

Thus to shoot in his house was very important for Kashyap's film plot. Amitabh Bachchan allowed the fan inside Pratiksha in selected areas of the house which is the drive way and reception area.

Anurag Kashyap's next big release film after GANGS OF WASSEYPUR 1 and 2 is BOMBAY TALKIES.

Ashi Dua, producer of the film confirms the news, saying "Shooting at Mr. Bachchan's home is a central part of the script. We are grateful to him for allowing us to access the porch and reception area of his bungalow. This is the first time that his house will be seen on celluloid."

BOMBAY TALKIES is a landmark feature film of this year releasing on the centenary date 3 May when we complete 100 years of cinema. BOMBAY TALKIES is an ode to cinema by four prolific filmmakers - Zoya Akhtar, Dibarkar Bannerjee, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar.
