Suparn-Nawaz shower praise on AATMA 'star'!
She is definitely the pillar of next Friday's chilling horror flick, and the 'star' of AATMA! But do not jump the gun and come to a conclusion that we are talking about the queen of horror films, Bipasha Basu. It's actually the innocent, vulnerable and very pretty and cute, Doyel Dhawan, the child star of AATMA that we are referring to in our headline.
As is evident from the promos of AATMA, Doyel has put in a splendid performance and so we were curious to know more about the child artist, and who better than the talented director Suparn Verma and the highly accomplished actor, the main lead of AATMA , Nawazuddin Siddiqui, to tell us about the child prodigy.
When we asked Suparn on how he zeroed in on such a wonderful talent like Doyel, he said, ''We found her in Delhi. Actually, we had auditioned around 450 girls and shortlisted 150. They were all asked to act possessed. Doyel was bang on! We used to shoot till two in the night, and there were times when I had to carry her in my arms. She was a rockstar from day one!''
We then asked Nawaz about his experience of working with the child star, he replied (smiling), ''I just don't have words to express how good she was, and how very hard working. Mostly all the shots were at night but the poor thing used to keep awake (even though it was very difficult for her) and give a perfect shot. In fact I don't know how they (the team) managed to find such a talented child prodigy like her!''
With praises from an actor of the caliber of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and the superbly talented director, Suparn Verma, we are sure that the rockstar child artist of AATMA, Doyel Dhawan, will surely make the film a box-office star too!
