Farhan Akhtar wants to include MARD campaign poem in school syllabus

Farhan Akhtar has been going all out on social media and other activities, promoting his awareness campaign - MARD (Men against Rape and Discrimination). The actor has plans to meet with official school boards in the city and Delhi to make the MARD poem a part of school syllabus.

The movement is clearly close to the actor's heart.

Taking a step forward in the same stride, Farhan is keen that the MARD poem (penned by his farther, Javed Akhtar) becomes a part of the education system in the country.

Farhan strongly believes that the students today, are the responsible citizens of tomorrow and thus it is key to streamline their thought process.

Thus the MARD team is planning to initiate conversations with schools across Mumbai and Delhi to include the objectives of MARD, along with a poem that his dad, Javed Saab has penned, in their curriculum. With this collaboration, Farhan intends to educate young minds

Farhan strongly believes that the change in law and order solely cannot curb the increasing rate of crime against women. There has to be a change in the behavioral pattern of society at large
