Neha Sharma on YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2: It is less risky to work in a sequel
Promotion of YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2 has started on an excellent note. With many terming its First Look as one of the best to have been released in the three months gone by, for Neha Sharma, who is happy wearing the tag of cute-n-sexy, it is a huge jump no less. Forgetting the disappointment of JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY not doing well and looking forward to having good fun with the trio of Deols, Neha is happy about featuring in the second sequel of her short career so far.
"Yeah, sequels seem to be working for me," smiles Neha, "KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM worked at the box office and now going by the reactions that are coming in for YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2, I am sure that it would be a superhit."
For someone who has vouched for playing variety of roles, Neha is happy to be doing light hearted as well as outrageously funny films for now so as to build a solid foundation for herself in the industry.
"It is good to be a part of successful films. Especially the sequels that I am doing are great fun. Moreover they come with a brand and people have good recall for them as well. This means that as an actor you don't have to start from ground zero. I think it is less risky for an actor to work in a sequel and I am happy to be finding myself in that situation," reasons Neha, "Of course performance oriented roles do matter and I would love to get such a platform as well. However, that doesn't mean that I would be showing my back on films where I can let my hair down."
Directed by Sangeeth Sivan, YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2 releases all over on 7th June, 2013.
