Bollywood box-office report of the week
This Friday will see the release of Vishesh Film and T-Series' AASHIQUI 2 and television heartthrob Hussain Kuwajerwala's big screen debut, SHREE. Needless to add that based on superb promotion and very poplar soundtrack, it will be the Mohit Suri directed AASHIQUI 2 that will be the front runner by a long margin.
Last week's major release, Balaji Telefilms Ltd. and Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures Pvt. Ltd.'s Emraan Hashmi starrer, EK THI DAAYAN, saw a decent opening weekend of close to 18 crore. The weekdays though were not as strong as expected. The fate of the film will depend on the subsequent run during the second week. EK THI DAAYAN has disappointed in the overseas grossing �31,000 from UK and $66,000 from the US during the opening weekend (19-21 April).
