Varun Dhawan's aggressive romance in MAIN TERA HERO
If one expected David Dhawan to immediately get behind the camera after the success of CHASHME BADDOOR that is not really the case. Even though he hasn't called the shots for over a year, he is not losing his sleep over that. Instead, he is chilling out with friends and family and taking his time before coming back behind the camera for his son Varun Dhawan's second film MAIN TERA HERO.
"He doesn't have to stress himself," says a close associate, "He waited so patiently for CHASHME BADDOOR to release. Now he is happy giving final touches to MAIN TERA HERO and getting it just right before it hits the floors. In any case he isn't someone who gives line by line narration to his actors. Now that he is directing a film with his son who knows his pulse, he knows that it would be all right for everyone once the camera starts rolling."
What is making the film further interesting is the fact that David is setting MAIN TERA HERO in an altogether different space when compared to his last few comic hits, including PARTNER and MUJHSE SHAADI KAROGI.
"While there would be humour in the film, Varun would also indulge into some aggressive romance. Davidji is making it a complete 'masala' affair and would be delivering what he is best at i.e. an out and out commercial entertainer," adds a source.
When contacted, David Dhawan confirmed the kind of ingredients he intends to bring in MAIN TERA HERO.
"Another strong element that you need in films belonging to this genre is good music as well as dances. You have to keep in mind though that you can't get overtly serious about telling your story. Haste-khelte agar film banaoge toh chances hai ki woh achchi banegi," he smiles before signing off.
