With Saif Ali Khan on GO GOA GONE sets we all became efficient, says Kunal Khemu
Saif Ali Khan has been known as a chilled out personality. While his cool demeanor at work is a known fact, when it comes to making films, he indeed means business. This is something that the team of GO GOA GONE realised first hand when he arrived on the sets.
"A major schedule of the film had already taken place in Goa but it didn't include Saif. He was busy with COCKTAIL while Kunal Khemu, Vir Das and Puja Gupta were merrily shooting along with directors Raj and D.K. However once Saif stepped in the schedules to follow, there was further sense of urgency that came in," informs a source.
"Of course that is expected, isn't it," smiles Kunal, "With him around, not only are you conscious of the fact that he is a superstar but also the fact that he is a producer and a boss. We all became efficient on the sets as we were now shooting faster and breaking less."
While the shooting really progressed smoothly, Saif is now mighty confident of the film clicking with the audience. Considering the fact that GO GOA GONE explores a totally new genre, one wonders how is the team looking at creating a target audience for the film which releases next weekend?
"Honestly I can make big statements and tell stories around the whole planning. However, at the end of the day it is the viewers who decide if they are interested enough after watching the songs and the promos. Still, aisa nahi hai ki saara humour ek saath promo mein daal diya. We know for a fact that if they have liked the promos, they would love the film even more since we haven't even revealed 10% of what is in the offering," assures Kunal before signing off.
