There was nothing surprising at the box-office this Friday as the three new releases, RAANJHANAA, ENEMMY and SHORTCUT ROMEO, fared as per the expectations.

The front runner of the week, Aanand L. Rai's Dhanush, Sonam, Abhay, Swara and Urmila starrer, RAANJHANAA, started slowly with a 25-35 percent opening, but thanks to the by and large positive word of mouth the film touched 50-55 percent at some places by the latter shows, and is expected to have a healthy weekend.

The other two releases, the Mithun-Mahaakshay starrer, ENEMMY, and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ameesha Patel and Puja Gupta venture, SHORTCUT ROMEO, saw a very ordinary start of around 10 percent. One must add here that ENEMMY was faring much better than SHORTCUT ROMEO in the interiors and at the single screens.

Meanwhile last Friday's Excel Entertainment film, FUKREY, managed a decent opening week of around 17-18 crore, thanks mainly to very steady weekdays, and may scrape through to safety, if it manages to hold on for another week or so.
