Sonam Kapoor: I don't think I am very talented
After the success of RAANJHANAA, Sonam Kapoor now has her eyes set on BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG, a film for which she charged only Rs 11.
"It's true. I was just happy to a part, a really small part but a part of a film like this," says the actress.
The 28-year-old actress says, "I can give it to you in writing that this BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG is going to be an iconic film. It is a film that is going to go down in history. As an actor, I want to be remembered for my characters. I also want to be remembered for the films I did," she says. Ask if that is being selfish and she promptly replies, "Yes, it is and I don't mind being selfish."
Talking more about the film she says, "It was about being free and about being in love with this man. It was very easy to love somebody who is as strong as Milkha Singh. I believed that I was in love with Milkha Singh. It was a small but important role. I didn't have a reference point for it. It was very easy to play this role."
Many find the actress beautiful and talented. But the actress begs to differ.
She says, "I know that I'm very happy in my space. I don't think I'm the most beautiful. I don't think I am very talented. Yes, I do think that I'm fashionable. I think it's just about being yourself. As long as you are yourself and you have a certain confidence about yourself, I think automatically things start working out for you."
Well, we think that Sonam is just being modest.
