BAJATEY RAHO director Shashant defends his 'Naagin'
BAJATEY RAHO is all set for release and the fun comic outing is also in news for some fast paced music that it boasts of. While Honey Singh's 'Kudi Tu Butter' is finding some good popularity coming its way, one also awaits 'Naagin' to play on the big screen. However the film's director Shashant Shah refrains from calling it an item number and defends its placement in the film by terming it strictly situational.
"I would rather call this as a celebration number," says Shashant, "Especially up North, a lot of celebrities from Hindi film industry and the world of modelling come to these weddings and perform. Right from the biggest stars to the smallest starlets perform for the guests and then leave. Same is the case in my film's climax as well where two dancers (Maryam Zakaria and Scarlett Wilson) are invited for the wedding of Ravi Kissen's daughter."
Talking about his 'celebrity (and not item) girls', Shashant adds, "I wanted two different kind of 'Naagin' for the song. When I saw videos of Maryam and Scarlett performing to some songs, I asked my choreographer to design something which doesn't look vulgar. I wanted something that can even be played in a birthday party of a five year old boy. He understood and the results are there to be seen."
With this song being an added attraction, BAJATEY RAHO stars Dolly Ahluwalia, Tusshar, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Sheorey, Ravi Kissen and Vishakha Singh in principle roles and is a co-production of Krishika Lulla and MSM.
