Mahie Gill emulates Meena Kumari in GANG OF GHOSTS

Who wouldn't want to look like the legendary Meena Kumari. Actress Mahie Gill has got that opportunity to don a look similar to the legendary Meena Kumari for a song titled "Dil Apna Fokat" from Venus' GANG OF GHOSTS directed by Satish Kaushik.

Says Mahie Gill, "I am a huge fan of Meena Kumari and it was a great honour for me to emulate her on screen. The opportunity was in no way less than perfect. I studied her in films like BAIJU BAWRA (1952) and DIL EK MANDIR".

Ratan Jain, the producer of GANG OF GHOSTS says, "Yes Mahie's look in the song is on the lines of the ethereal Meena Kumariji, Mahie has an earthy charm and looked just the part. She went all out to get into the character and floored us with her dedication".

Paying tribute to the cinema of the 60's and 70's, the song will see Mahie Gill do a Meena Kumari twist reminiscent of her role in 1952's BAIJU BAWRA for which the actress did extensive research.

Venus Records and Tapes Pvt Ltd GANGS OF GHOSTS stars Mahie Gill, Anupam Kher, Meera Chopra, Chunkey Pandey and Saurab Shukla and went on floors last month.
