Simran replaces Sunny Leone in 'Palang Tod' number from Sunny Deol's film
Plans for coming together of the two Sunnys (Deol and Leone respectively) may have been aborted for SINGH SAHEB THE GREAT. However, the makers have moved on and found a replacement. It is in the form of Simran Khan, a dancer who has been seen in some South outings, who would be featuring in this Anil Sharma directed film.
"There was quite some noise made when the makers had almost finalised Sunny Leone to feature in a rustic 'desi' item number for SINGH SAHEB THE GREAT. It would also have worked as a good marketing gimmick due to coming together of Sunny Deol and Sunny Leone on the same frame. However when the plans couldn't materialise, the makers started hunting for another female who had similar 'features'. This is where Simran Khan came into picture," informs a source.
Her experience of working in South helped too and soon she was on board for the item number which is titled 'Palag Tod Paan'.
Confesses Anil Sharma, "The idea was to either take a star or a talented dancer. First I was first thinking of Sunny Leone but when that didn't work out, Simran came into picture. She is a wonderful dancer. Sunny Deol ne bhi aisa dance kiya hai jo kisi ne dekha nahi. Usne bahaut khul ke dance kiya hai. Also, Prakash Raj has let his hair down in a major way. It is a hit number all the way."
Composed by Anand Raj Anand and sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, the song is said to be a 'situational' dance number which would be a major highlight of the film.
Choreographed by Chinni Prakash, the song would be unveiled later this month.
