Get ready for a filmy November-December ahead!
Bollywood this year witnessed very few big releases in the form of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor's AASHIQUI 2, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, Farhan Akhtar's BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG, Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's CHENNAI EXPRESS, and the recently released Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani starrer GRAND MASTI. While all these movies didn't release together and were timely placed as one movie per month, the audience will get to witness a grand filmy period with as good as five major releases in the coming month of November and two or three big releases in the December month.
Though the latest release of the Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, BESHARAM was packaged with the Kapoor khandaan, the movie didn't seem to cast its spell on the audience and bombed at the box-office. This month's other big release is in the form of Akshay Kumar's BOSS. But keeping in mind the fate of Akshay's last movie ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI DOBAARA, there is not much of an expectation from the Khiladi actor.
Since, October seems to be a void month in terms of big films; all eyes are set on the five big releases lined in the festive month of November. While the Hrithik Roshan-Priyanka Chopra starrer KRRISH 3 would be kick-starting the filmy month, followed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus RAM-LEELA starring alleged lovers Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, releasing on November 15. With this larger-than-life RAM-LEELA, there is a small-budget RAJJO starring Kangana Ranaut which is releasing alongside.
Well, these are not enough; the two biggies are followed by Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor's GORI TERE PYAAR MAIN on November 22. Action king Sunny Deol also packs a punch on the same day with SINGH SAAB THE GREAT. Begum Kareena will be followed closely by her Nawab husband and actor Saif Ali Khan's big outing BULLETT RAJA starring Sonakshi Sinha alongside, which is slated to hit the screens on November 29, 2013.
The last month of the year also has two confirmed big releases. December starts with the rowdy and masala king Prabhudheva's R...RAJKUMAR starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. And ofcourse, the year's most touted film DHOOM 3, starring Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, hopefully will be closing the year. But, like reported earlier, if the speculations are to be believed, Salman Khan may also release his JAI HO (earlier titled MENTAL) a week after DHOOM 3, thus enjoying the success of the Year end.
With an overdose of big films, the audience would definitely have the opportunity to enjoy film-after-film, thus making November-December the year's most film-filled months. Incidentally the films being strategically placed in the festive months of Diwali and Christmas, one also expects a good collection at the Box-office, which in turn may work wonders for the films.
Well, which film keeps the cash registers ringing in and which film breaks the record of the all-time blockbuster needs to be watched!
