Shahid Kapoor impresses; Sonakshi Sinha's dirty dance lackluster in 'Gandi Baat' from R...RAJKUMAR
After watching her graceful grooves and moves in ROWDY RATHORE, we thought Sonakshi Sinha, besides being a terrific actor is a fantastic dancer too! So, when the teaser of the new song 'Gandi Baat' from her upcoming film R...RAJKUMAR starring Shahid Kapoor alongside, was out it was believed that Sonakshi is all set to go a step ahead and stun us with her 'dirty dancing', as the song is being set forth. Sonakshi would sway nothing less than Vidya Balan in THE DIRTY PICTURE!
We were waiting with bated breath to check out Sonakshi's sexy moves! However, to our dismay Sonakshi's dance flow in the new song lackluster and is not happening enough as was expected. The kind of exuberance she displayed with Prabhudheva in 'Go Go Govinda' from OMG: OH MY GOD or shaking her booty with Akshay Kumar in Prabhu's ROWDY RATHORE, seems to be missing in 'Gandi Baat' from R...RAJKUMAR. The chemistry that she exhibited with Akshay in ROWDY, isn't up to the mark when she jigs with Shahid Kapoor in the song.
Though tries her bit with those cheesy expressions and few of the latkas matkas, Sonakshi fails to match-up with Shahid's energy levels, making the entire 'Gandi Baat' thandi! While Shahid seems to be in full form and perfectly rehearsed, not missing a single beat of the song, Sonakshi's dance demands practice. Sonu Sood tries to act like Akki in the song but looks a bit bizarre.
Nevertheless, the highpoint of the song is when Prabhudheva, who's known to make brief appearance in his songs, and Shahid, who are dancing aficionados, match the steps together!
