Abhay Deol's ONE BY TWO spun like ZINDAGI NAA MILEGI DOBARA
Abhay Deol, who has revelled in truly taking a different route, is now looking at going all out in further nurturing the platform that he has created for himself. First step in this direction is his debut production ONE BY TWO. Dreaming of turning producer for quite some time now, he is finally realising that with this film, which is all set for February release.
The film is also special since it features his girlfriend Preeti Desai as a female lead, one wonders how comfortable it was for him to be her producer on the sets and boyfriend at home. "Well, whatever I have to tell Preeti, I do it on the film's sets," Abhay smiles, "See, I am very critical of performances; this is the way I am. When I have some feedback for Preeti, I do give her there and then. She is also mature enough to be taking it all in her stride. She has worked hard on the film and given her 110%."
Buzz in the town is that while the film is indeed in Abhay's zone, it is a romcom affair with a strong dosage of music in it. Smiles Abhay, "Well, I won't say it is a true-blue romcom but yes, it is a light hearted film. It is spun in a way that ZINDAGI NAA MILEGI DOBARA was, though obviously it was a much bigger film. ONE BY TWO is rooted into reality in just the way I like it. Yes, it is a full on musical. We have seven songs with music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. In fact we have already shot the film and currently in the editing stage. We are working on the background score and a call would be taken soon on when we release the film."
As per the early reports though, the film is aiming for 7th February release.
