Sonu Sood's balancing act with Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar
Sonu Sood is playing a good balancing game. While he continues to be on good terms with Salman Khan despite letting go of DABANGG 2 after DABANGG, he is also shooting for Shahrukh Khan's HAPPY NEW YEAR. Meanwhile, he is also maintaining a good equation with Akshay Kumar by working in ITS ENTERTAINMENT and GABBAR.
No wonder, he is happy to wear the tag of being one of the 'most liked people' in the industry. How is he managing that? "I always believe that it is not just work but also goodness which travels a lot way. It is a small industry. In the world where people mostly talk negative about others, it is tough to find anyone who talks good about you," says Sonu in his characteristic soft tone.
No wonder, he is now also a regular with Prabhudheva with whom he has done two back to back films - RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA and R... RAJKUMAR.
"The mantra is to be grounded and not posing what you are not," Sonu shares his philosophy of life, "I have always been an open book. I have shared my problems with friends in the industry and asked them if I need something. It is very important for a new actor to make a goodwill. There are just few people whom you can claim to be just a phone call away."
One such person could well be Salman Khan with whom Sonu continues to share a special bond, even though they haven't shared screen space together since DABANGG (2010)/.
Remembers Sonu, "A couple of years back when I didn't do DABANGG 2, a lot of people said to me that I should not say 'No' to Salman. My funda was clear though. I feel that friendship doesn't survive like this. I had to be open with him and he understood it as well. Today, if he cares for me, it is for a reason. This is what I cherish most. As for movies, they will come and go but the friendships and goodwill remains forever."
