Saif Ali Khan's five hits in a row
This one is a pretty much 'unsung' fact about Saif Ali Khan but ironically it is about a 'song'. With 'Tamanchey Pe Disco' from his upcoming release BULLETT RAJA turning into an instant chartbuster, he has now managed to score five straight musical successes in a row, a fact that could well have gone unnoticed.
"Whether it is BULLETT RAJA ['Tamanchey Pe Disco'], GO GOA GONE ['Slowly Slowly'], RACE 2 ['Lat Lag Gayi', 'Party On My Mind' ], COCKTAIL [ 'Tumhi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi', 'Daaru Desi', 'Second Hand Jawaani'], AGENT VINOD 'Pungi' , 'Raabta'] - there have been numerous chartbusters that he has scored in each of his last five films. This is some feat for sure," comments a source.
Not quite known for someone with hyper-active PR that is ever-so-eager to shove down these facts down media's throat, Saif has been quietly delivering musical hits without making much ado about them.
"He is someone with a very keen ear for music and has always been super involved with what goes into the final soundtrack," the source adds, "Right from his entry into Bollywood when he had hits like 'Ole Ole' to his credit to now 'Tamanchey Pe Disco', Saif has been seeing at least one song from each of his films being successful. Especially in the last few years, he has become all the more conscious about ensuring that his films have at least one foot tapping number, especially in the end credit title rolls."
While one waits to see whether his 'Tamanchey Pe Disco', with Sonakshi Sinha appears in the end credit rolls or in the middle of BULLETT RAJA narrative, the news is that for his next release HAPPY ENDING too, he has managed to get some chartbuster numbers to the film's credit.
"Watch out for his song with Kareena Kapoor in the film," the source adds, "It is all set to make it six in a row for Saif, hence resulting in a rare double hat-trick of chartbuster songs in back to back films."
We are waiting for sure.
