FUKREY girl Vishakha goes multilingual with record films

2013 has been a happening year for Vishakha Singh. With as many as four releases already to her name (FUKREY, BAJATEY RAHO, ANKUR ARORA MURDER CASE and a Tamil film KANNA LADDU THINNA AASAIYA), she has now signed a flurry of films. Though she has already rejected a dozen odd films already, what makes her a possible contender to enter record books is the fact that each of her upcoming films is in a different language.

"These are THE MAYA TAPE (Hindi), THURRAM (Telugu), THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES (Malayalam) and VALEEBA RAJ (Tamil)," informs a source.

Interestingly, despite being a Punjabi, that is one language in which she hasn't acted yet. However her foray into multiple languages down South is being looked at with envy. Reason being that she is playing a lead role in each of these films.

"Doing four films at a time in itself is a big deal but considering that she is a Punjabi from Delhi, doing four film and that too in different languages is really something special," says a close associate of the actress, "THE MAYA TAPE, in which she is playing a reporter, sees her along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The horror thriller is being readied for release before year end while the other three would arrive in 2014. Moreover, she is also in talks to do more Hindi films, announcement of which would be made soon."

Says Vishakha, "Yes, I am doing a lot of regional films. I realise that one should be constantly working. Moreover, South industry pays you much more as well so it is a good reason to be doing films there too."

Meanwhile, she has a task in hand to pull up her socks and gear up for shooting her three South films almost simultaneously.

"It's a task to manage three different language films in the South and that too when the shoots are happening around the same time," says Vishakha who recently won an award for her smile at a recently concluded beauty awards in Mumbai, "However I am enjoying it all. After KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY, it was a long wait. Now when things are falling in place, I am enjoying the fact that my hard-work is paying off."

Now will her feat of multilingual films ensure an entry into the records? Stay tuned as we bring more updates!
