Sunny Deol: I'm not desperate for a hit

Even though his previous film, YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2 didn't do well, Sunny Deol says he isn't desperate for a hit.

"I'm not desperate for a hit. But definitely one wants success. If I was desperate, I would go out and do some stupidities. That's what a desperate man does. But everyone wants a hit. Everyone wants success and why not?" states the actor.

Sunny Deol is now all geared up for his next film, SINGH SAAB THE GREAT, which is directed by Anil Sharma.

Speaking about why he agreed to do the film, Sunny says, "If I like the subject of a film, I say yes to it. Anil Sharma narrated the story to me and I liked it immediately. So we decided to go ahead with it."

The actor is primarily known as the action hero despite having done films of other genres. Ask him if he finds the 'action hero' tag unfair and he says, "I'm not looking at fairness or unfairness. I'm looking for people to love my work and my cinema. Whichever film I do is a total entertainer. It's about a complete family and a lifespan of a certain period. Since it's about a family, there are a lot of other emotions apart from action. There are lighter moments also. Action is just in bits and pieces."

SINGH SAAB THE GREAT is all set to release on 22nd November alongside Kareena Kapoor-Imran Khan's GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN.
