Vijay Raaz shines in latest DEDH ISHQIYA trailer
The brilliant actor is not to be seen anywhere on the poster of DEDH ISHQIYA, the sequel of the successful Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi starrer ISHQIYA.
However, in the latest trailer of the film Vijay Raaz proves it yet again that he is quite a scene stealer and can make his presence felt in whatever roles he does, major or minor. He has been doing it constantly in films after films.
At the launch of the new trailer of the film in a suburban multiplex of Mumbai, after it was shown to the media, and as the stars, the producers, and the director of the film trouped in for a photo op and Q&A session, there was a rare cry of approval and applause from the media persons, generally reserved for the major stars, that greeted Vijay Raaz when he entered the stage. He was followed by the other stars of the film Huma Qureshi, Arshad Warsi, and Madhuri Dixit-Nene. And the first few questions from the media were aimed at him and the reluctant actor had just this to say, "Watch the film. It's very beautiful and what I really do in the film should better remain a 'raaz' for now."
Vijay Raaz is playing some kind of a swindler who poses as a king and tries to impress Begum Para -the beautiful Begum of Mahmudabad played by Madhuri Dixit.
Nearly the entire cast and crew of the film was present during the launch barring Naseeruddin Shah, who was busy with the show of his play, and Vishal Bhardwaj, who is in J&K, for his film HAIDER, the shooting of which was stopped since a group of students in Kashmir University campus protested against the raising of the national flag in a scene being shot with the film's lead pair Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
DEDH ISHQIYA is a comedy thriller directed by Abhishek Chaubey and is produced by Raman Maroo and Vishal Bharadwaj. The film will hit theaters on 10th January, 2014.
