Not RAI-ght: Aishwarya Bachchan denies confirming P.Vasu flick
Rare 'casting coups' are a staple fodder for tabloids. At times, actors also find themselves being touted as being part of a movie...that they haven't really nodded assent to! And it becomes necessary that they clear the (casting) air and reveal facts for what they are.
Recently, there was much tattle that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had signed up for the P.Vasu Tamil-Telugu bilingual that would showcase her as a 'Kalari' fighter. Furthermore, it was being whispered that two ace heroes had been approached to star opposite the actress in the action-packed flick.
Scotching all such speculation, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has categorically stated that she has not accepted the P.Vasu film.
A statement released by her spokesperson reads thus:
"This statement is in reference to the Press release and rumoured attachment of Ms. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Mr. P. Vasu's film, which has been doing the rounds very strongly in the media and the industry. With due respect to all the professionals concerned , I would like to state that this was one among the several scripts/ ideas she has been approached for, but there have been no confirmations at all. This "press release" came as a huge surprise to all of us...... An email clarifying this erroneous 'press release' has already been received by our office from the concerned parties."
