No pressure in launching Tiger Shroff, says HEROPANTI director

From making a biggie (KAMBAKKHT ISHQ) with superstars Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor to being entrusted with the responsibility of launching a star son in the form of Tiger Shroff, it has been an eventful journey for Sabbir Khan. With some powerful backing of producer Sajid Nadiadwala, the second time filmmaker has invested good time in making sure that his HEROPANTI is special for all involved. However, if one felt that Sabbir was under any pressure, it is far from being true.

Says Sabbir in a cool tone, "There wasn't much playing in my mind except for designing HEROPANTI as an out and out entertainer. If you make a film with absolute conviction by first locking your script, things do fall in place. Till date, I carry no pressure when it comes to launching Tiger since we have stuck to the plan. We had things set well on paper and it was about execution now. Eventually, a film is as good or bad as a script. As long as you follow this basic mantra right, you are on."

With Tiger being an absolute newcomer and not carrying any image whatsoever, Sabbir could afford to align the youngster into any direction as per the requirement of the core treatment of HEROPANTI which carries action, drama, romance and music in equal doses.

"I didn't have to create a script for someone so that sort of baggage was never there. We were sticking to the story and with Tiger bringing a new language with him, the stage was set to live my vision through him," says Sabbir and adds, "The results would be there for all to see."

We indeed would love to have a dekko at that once the film releases all over on 23rd May.
