Tamannaah Bhatia: With Saif Ali Khan, I developed instant chemistry

For Tamannaah Bhatia, HUMSHAKALS is indeed a big ticket film. An entertainer in the offering which promises 'Nine times the Fun', HUMSHAKALS features her opposite Saif Ali Khan. For someone who has over 30 films to her credit down South and is pretty established as an actress, Tamannaah is happy to find herself in an out and out commercial set up by director Sajid Khan where she has fun, song, dance and looking good being the standard ingredients for a leading lady to make her mark.

"Absolutely. I am really glad with all the jumping around that HUMSHAKALS requires and I am not complaining," says Tamannaah, who is happy jiving to the tunes of 'Caller Tune' and 'Piya Ke Bazaar' amongst others.

As for her co-star Saif Ali Khan, she shared comfortable vibes right through the elaborate shooting schedule of HUMSHAKALS which required them to camp overseas.

"It was fabulous because Saif is the ultimate in terms of sweetness. If you have done something good in a scene, he really appreciates and encourages you. I could not have asked for a better co-star. With him, I could develop an instant on-screen chemistry," she smiles.

For someone who was seen opposite Ajay Devgn in a 80s setup for HIMMATWALA last year, Tamannaah is glad to be donning a glamorous avatar for HUMSHAKALS where she is playing a London based VJ. Also, the film is one of the biggest ever to come from Sajid Khan, Vashu Bhagnani and Fox.

"What I am most happy about is the fact that I have never done a film which is an out and out comedy. Even in South, my films have been across different genre so in a way, HUMSHAKALS is a totally different experience for me," says Tamannaah, "As for the film being big then well, what matters most is for it to open well and then sustain well too at the box office. That's the hallmark of bigness."
