Arfi Lamba: Gone are the days of mindless slapstick comedy!

Arfi Lamba, who shot to fame with Oscar winning film SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, talks about his latest release FUGLY and what made him accept the film.

Ask Arfi as to what made him do FUGLY and he reveals, "I was the last to be casted for the role of Aditya. Initially someone else was approached for this role. But he backed out at last moment and that is how I got FUGLY. And why I accepted it is because I loved the script. It was very fresh."

So is script the deciding factor? "Of course it is. Content is the king of the film. Right now, we are in a very interesting phase of Indian cinema. There are a lot of new actors are coming up. Many genres are being explored. Audience is appreciating content driven films. Gone are the days of mindless slapstick comedy. Content is very important and actors too are putting in efforts to reach out to people," concludes Arfi.
