Surveen Chawla: We had to up the sexiness quotient in HATE STORY 2 song
Surveen Chawla would be seen as a leading lady in a Bollywood movie for the first time in HATE STORY 2 and she is making sure that she makes a sudden impact. While she has already made her mark in the promos that are currently on, one looks forward to what she has to offer in the entire film which is centered on her.
Still, since the very genre of the film requires its leading lady to step into a bold avatar, was it an easy decision for her to make?
"This is where my whole connect of what I am personally and professionally exists! I am mentally a very bold person. I am very comfortable in my skin. I am confident and strong headed so in that sense, this whole sexiness or hotness is not an avatar that I am putting on; this is what I am. If you see me on a vacation with my friends, you would see me exactly like this. You jump into the pool in a swimwear, don't you? You would be seen in a two piece after all. That is how I am in personal life. What you perceive as boldness is not my boldness; that's being normal. To each his own, I am fine with that," she details.
Guess the first task in hand for the beautiful young woman was to recreate the magic of DAYAVAN, courtesy today's version of 'Aaj Phir Tumpe Pyaar Aaya Hai'.
She smiles, "When you are revamping a song from DAYAVAN then it better be at the same level as that of an epic original. That song was fantastic, it became cult and till date people search it for the hot kiss out there. Guess, it was Bollywood's first 'masala' kiss and it was a big deal back then to pull it off so beautifully. So in our film too, this whole sexy avatar is there because we had to up the sexiness quotient. At the least, it had to be at par with the original. We had to make sure that it didn't fall down from the level it is already popular. Of course there is no comparison with Madhuri (Dixit) but then at least people are loving it."
