Shahrukh Khan feels EKKEES TOPON KI SALAAMI may become a landmark film

The first look of the film EKKEES TOPON KI SALAAMI was unveiled in a suburban Mumbai multiplex. Shahrukh Khan took time out of his extremely busy schedule to unveil the first look in the presence of the film's cast and crew led by Anupam Kher and the high-profile invitees like Anuradha Prasad Shukla, Rajeev Shukla, Irrfan Khan, and Tigmanshu Dhulia.

Shahrukh said that he has watched quite a bit of the film and he believes it may prove to be a landmark political/social satire in Indian cinema comparable with JAANE BHI DO YAARON. The subject of the film revolves around an honest man and his two sons who are out to fulfill the last wish of their father.

When asked by the media-persons if he can name someone in the film industry who he feels he will like to give a 21 Gun Salute, the ultimate honor, the inimitable Khan decided to take the diplomatic non-committal route. He said that naming one would mean disregarding others and thus he would prefer not to name anyone.

The film is produced by Nautanki Films, a division of BAG films, in associating with Jayantilal Gada's Pen Movies. It's directed by Saurabh Tewari and the cast is led by Anupam Kher and includes Divyendu Sharma, Manu Rishi, Aditi Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Neha Dhupia and Uttara Bawkar. Ram Sampat has done the music of the film and Sandeep Nath has written the lyrics.
