Rani Mukerji's MARDAANI is dull, Shetty-Ajay dominate with SINGHAM RETURNS!

As was expected, Yash Raj Films' Rani Mukerji starrer, MARDAANI, suffered on account of releasing just a week after another daredevil cop action drama, Ajay Devgn's, SINGHAM RETURNS. MARDAANI managed collections in the range of 20-25 percent on an average, with Mumbai-Maharashtra being better. The film will have to up the ante during the remaining days of the weekend to make a mark at the box-office.

Another prominent release of the week, Phantom Films' KATIYABAAZ was off to some rave reviews and is likely to find its audience, especially amongst the fans of good and meaningful cinema.

Meanwhile, it was Rohit Shetty's, Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer, SINGHAM RETURNS, that dominated the proceedings yet again (even during the second weekend) after a stupendous opening week of around 112 crore. The film is on way to a super hit status, if not blockbuster.
