KAI PO CHE! has shades of ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA and ROCK ON, says Amit Sadh
Less than 10 days remain for the release of KAI PO CHE! and one waits to see how exactly does this Abhishek Kapoor film unfolds, what with three relative newcomers being seen together on the big screen. It was some good mutual understanding and bonding in real time for the trio that further assured good camaraderie in play on screen.
"Yes, that's a fact. It is always said that actors should believe in their part and go about that instead of worrying if others have a better etched part," says Amit Sadh, one of the three leads in the film, "When I signed the film, I believed the director and his vision. The screenplay is such that it brings in these three characters so no complaints there whatsoever. Moreover the advantage that Sushant, Rajkumar and I carry is that all three of us are comparatively new due to which we are less calculated. There is a sense of purity in us and we are not acting for ourselves but for each other."
While the world created by Abhishek for ROCK ON is still being remembered, the promos pretty much give an indication that this film could well see the coming together of genres, as evidenced in the likes of 3 IDIOTS, RANG DE BASANTI and YUVA to name a few.
"Well, it's a culmination of everything," says Amit, "What differentiates our film from them is that we have set the story around friendship of three middle class boys. See, middle class is what our country is all about and that is exactly the milieu that KAI PO CHE! carries. The friendship between the three characters (played by Sushant, Rajkumar and him) is so thick that it cannot be questioned. So yes, I would say that in spirit, the film has the kind of shades as seen in ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA and ROCK ON."
